1. 2JZ-GE

The Toyota 2JZ-GE legendary naturally aspirated engine is known for reliability, long life, and upgrade potential. This engine doesn’t come with a turbo like the 2JZ-GTE, but you still get the same durability. You have an inline-6, 3.0L engine with a cast iron block, an aluminum cylinder head, and a timing belt drive. 

The dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) design gives you four valves per cylinder, and the later versions include VVT-i. When you talk about the power, it puts out around 215 to 230 hp, and the torque comes in close to 280 Nm.

Toyota produced this engine from 1991 to 2007, and during this period, the company used this engine in the Supra, Lexus GS300, Toyota Crown, Toyota Soarer, and IS300. Many people pick the 2JZ-GE for engine swaps or turbo conversions because the block can handle more power.

Toyota has put this engine in the Tundra, Sequoia, Land Cruiser 200 and 300, Lexus LX570, GX460, and Mega Cruiser. 

The power delivery of this motor is extremely smooth, and it performs really well under load, especially in off-road conditions.

This engine uses a belt drive and produces between 230 and 271 hp, with torque close to 410 Nm. Toyota put the 2UZ-FE in the Land Cruiser 100, early 200 models, Sequoia, Tundra, 4Runner, Lexus LX470, and GX470.
